dc.description.abstract-translatedThe article summarizes the results of a small-scale rescue excavation carried out in 2011. A total of five features were identified – two of them were interpreted as semi-sunken huts (features 001 and 008), one as a post hole and two (containing no finds) as settlement pits. Both semi-sunken huts were oval and lacked any remains of posts. The interpretation remains uncertain due to the absence of a hearth. The sheer majority of the archaeological assemblage come from both semi-sunken huts. On the basis of ceramic finds, semi-sunken hut 001 can be roughly classified as dating from Ha D2–3. Semi-sunken hut 008 belongs to the Ha D3 – LT A period, where the LT A phase is represented by the so-called Braubach bowls and two atypical fragments of wheel-turned vessels. Osteological analysis shows that agricultural activities took place at the site. The range of documented domestic animals generally corresponds with our knowledge of the Hallstatt period – the most common animals include ox, sheep/goat, domestic pig, and less often also horse and dog. The preponderance of livestock over wild/hunted animals is also quite typical of this period.eng
