| dc.description.abstract | Cílem bakalářské práce je na pozadí historických událostí sledovat zlomové body, důvody a podmínky vzniku Severoatlantické aliance a Evropské unie a jejich dalšího vývoje. Zviditelněny byly i organizace z dnešního pohledu ne příliš známé, ale z hlediska historického vývoje neopominutelné. Důraz je pak kladen na období studené války, v němž se formovaly nosné myšlenky obou rodících se organizací, a jak se následně EU a NATO vyrovnaly se zánikem bipolárního světa. Práce se dále věnuje samotné splupráci těchto dvou organizací, jak si k sobě hledaly cestu a jak se jim dnes daří vzájemný vztah rozvíjet. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The object of this thesis is to study the historical reasons behind the establishment of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the European Union, using the context of the historical events and conditions that led to this as well to examine some of the milestones in their further development. The thesis also looks at organisations that are not so well known today but are significant to the historical background. An emphasis is put on the Cold War era where the principles of these developing organisations were to shape their future, and how both NATO and the EU reacted to the end of the bipolar world system. Cooperation between these two organisations is also examined, in regard to their mutual development and evolution, and future success in maintaining and broadening this partnership. | eng |
