| dc.description.abstract | Východiskem práce je odraz krize hodnot společnosti konce 19. století v literatuře. Předmětem zájmu práce jsou dva romány, které vznikly přibližně v téže době (R. L. Stevenson, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde/ Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray). Na základě společných znaků, motivů a témat těchto románů se práce bude zabývat analýzou společenského pocitu deziluze a zaměří se na problém ztráty lidské identity hlavních postav těchto románů. V úvodu práce definuje pojem dekadence v souvislosti s literárním provincionalismem (Skotsko, Irsko). | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The theme of the Bachelor thesis is the reference to reflection to the social crisis in the 19th century literature. The subjects of interest are two novels which were originated at the same time: R. L. Stevenson's The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray. The work will analyse the feeling of disillusionment with society with respect to the common symbols, motifs and themes and it will focus on the problem of the main characters loss of human identity in the novels. In the introduction, it will define the term decadence in connection with the literary provincionalism of Ireland and Scotland. | eng |
