| dc.description.abstract | Bakalářská práce na téma Umění masek se skládá ze dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. Úvodní teoretická část se zabývá samotnou definicí masek, jejich funkcí, významem a v neposlední řadě i základním rozdělením. Za cíl si tato práce klade také zmapovat umění masek ve dvou afrických státech, Demokratické republice Kongo a Nigérii. Poslední kapitola je věnována vlivu afrického umění na evropské malířství a sochařství počátku 20. století. Tuto část doplňuje obrazová dokumentace.
Praktická část se zabývá výtvarnou stránkou vybraných masek.Získané poznatky z teoretické části jsou důležitou inspirací pro výtvarnou realizaci souboru koláží. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | This bachelor thesis on The Art of Masks is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practicalone. The introductory theoretical part deals with the definition of masks, their function and meaning and last but not least their basic division. This thesis' aim is also to coverthe art of masks in two african countries, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Nigeria. The last chapter is dedicated to the influence of african art on european painting and the art of sculpture at the beginning of the 20th century. This part is also supported by pictorial documentation. The practical part then deals with the artistic aspect of several masks. The knowledge gained from the theoretical part is important inspiration for realization of the collage series. | eng |
