| dc.description.abstract | Cílem této práce je srovnávací analýza dvou anglických fantasy ság pro děti: The Chronicles of Narnia autora Cliva Staplese Lewise a The Hobbit i The Lord of the Rings autora Johna Ronalda Reuela Tolkiena. Teoretická část práce podá informace o pohádkové a fantasy literatuře s přiblížením výše uvedených děl. Dále se bude zabývat životní zkušeností obou autorů, jejich spoluprací, a v neposlední řadě i morální filosofií Emmanuela Lévinase, zejména publikací Být pro druhého, jež se soustředí na etické otázky. Vlastní analýza se zabývá následujícími tématy: děti a dospělí, alternativní světy, vztah dobra a zla, konkrétní postavy a jejich náklonnost k dobru či zlu, posouzení odměn a trestů, a nejvyšší morální stav. Na základě této interpretace práce nastíní shodné a rozdílné přístupy obou autorů k této problematice. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The aim of this thesis is a comparative analysis of two English fantasy sagas for children: The Chronicles of Narnia by Clive Staples Lewis, and The Hobbit, as well as The Lord of the Rings by John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. The theoretical part of the thesis gives information about children's fantasy literature with respect to the discussed works, the biography of both authors, their mutual influence, and, last but not least, Emmanuel Lévinas' moral philosophy, in particular, Ethics of the Other, which focuses on ethical questions. The analysis itself deals with the following themes: children and adults, the alternative worlds, good and evil, particular characters and their concern with good or evil, rewards and punishments, and the highest moral status. The thesis attempts to outline the similarities, as well as differences in both author's attitudes. | eng |
