| dc.description.abstract | Hlavním tématem předložené disertační práce je detailní analýza toho, jak žáci pracují s webovou mapovou aplikací ArcGIS StoryMaps, pomocí metod biometrického testování. Výběr tohoto tématu souvisí s rozvojem a větším zapojováním digitálních technologií do výuky, který byl akcelerován vypuknutím pandemie Covidu-19. Vliv digitálních technologií na současnost společnost zapříčinil novou průmyslovou revoluci 4.0, kdy většina pracovních procesů začíná být automatizována a řízena počítači. Tento trend se promítá i do reforem kurikulárních dokumentů po celém světě. Společným rysem kurikulárních reforem je zavádění digitálních kompetencí a změna pohledu na výuku informatiky. Tyto změny přenáší některé požadavky v oblasti digitálních kompetencí i na ostatní předměty včetně geografie. Úvodní teoretická část práce se věnuje transformaci kurikulárních dokumentů a vývoji GIS, včetně jeho vazbě na geografické vzdělávání v perspektivě 21. století. Nedílnou součástí je shrnutí dosavadních poznatků v oblasti kognitivní zátěže včetně možností jejího měření. Analytická část práce se zaměřuje na hodnocení dat naměřených pomocí systému Gazepoint. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The main focus of the present dissertation is a detailed analysis of how students interact with the ArcGIS StoryMaps web mapping application using biometric testing methods. The choice of this topic is related to the development and greater involvement of digital technologies in education, which was accelerated by the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. The impact of digital technologies on contemporary society has caused a new industrial revolution 4.0, where most work processes are becoming automated, and computer controlled. This trend is reflected in curriculum reforms around the world. A common feature of curriculum reforms is the introduction of digital competencies and a change in the way we view the teaching of computer science. These changes transfer some of the requirements in the area of digital competences to other subjects, including geography. The introductory theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the transformation of curriculum documents and the development of GIS, including its relation to geographic education in the perspective of the 21st century. An integral part is a summary of the existing knowledge in the field of cognitive load, including the possibilities of its measurement. The analytical part of the thesis focuses on the evaluation of data measured by the Gazepoint system. | eng |
