| dc.description.abstract | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá životem a dílem čelného českého historika ve druhé polovině 20. století. Ovšem nesnaží se jen prostě popsat život a dílo vědce, ale zařazuje ho do kontextu vývoje české marxistické historiografie. Zkoumá jeho postoje, názory a přesvědčení. Autor při tvorbě předkládané práce vycházel především z bohatého osobního fondu Václava Krále, který je uložen v Archivu Národního muzea v Praze a dále z fondů Ústavu dějin - Archivu University Karlovy a Státního okresního archivu v Hradci Králové. Podobně důležitým prvkem jsou i některé ze stovek Králových prací a v neposlední řadě autor využil poznatků dosavadní literatury, která byla k dějinám historiografie druhé poloviny 20. století vydána. Vzhledem k tomu, že osobností Václava Krále a jeho vlivu na vývoj české historické vědy se zatím nikdo podrobněji nezajímal a informace o něm jsou dosti kusé, vidí autor největší přínos právě v tom, že předkládanou prací o něm podal nové a ucelené informace a otevřel nové badatelské téma, kterým upozornil na určité otázky, na které budou moci navázat a které mohou rozpracovat historikové další. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The thesis enagages in life and work the leading Czech historian in the second half of the 20th century. It doesn’t only try to describe a life and work of the scientist, it places him into the context of the development of the Czech Marxist historiography. It inquires into his statements, opinions and conviction. The author mostly used a rich personal fund of Václav Král, which is deposited in the Archives of the National Museum in Prague and then funds of the History Institute - Archives of the Charles University in Prague and the State Regional Archives in Hradec Králové. The other important sources are some of hundreds Král’s works. The author also used knowledges of the specialised literature, which describes history of historiography of the second half of the 20th century. Nobody has considered the personality of Václav Král in detail and his influence on the development of the Czech historiography yet and there are only rare informations about him. The author sees the biggest contribution in new and coherent knowledges, which the works grants. He opened a new topic in the history of historiography and pointed out certain questions, in which other historians can continue. | eng |
