dc.description.abstract-translatedThe aim of this project is to identify genes which could be used in phylogenetic reconstructions of symbiotic bacteria within the group Enterobacteriaceae. The candidate gene were looked up in COG database prospective primers were designed according to their conservative regions. The putative primer pairs were screened in silico and the best candidates were tested in PCR reactions with several DNA samples. Phylogenetic analysis was performed to test the information value of the best primer pair, amplifying partial gene for adenylosuccinate lyase (purB). The result demonstrates general suitability of this approach to identification of new phylogenetic markers and highlights several problems to be solved in future research.eng
