| dc.description.abstract | Cílem této práce bylo blíže objasnit proces explorace a prostorové orientace v okolním prostředí u podzemních rypošů s odlišným sociálním systémem. Vybraní zástupci sociálního rypoše obřího (Fukomys mechowii) a solitérního rypoše stříbřitého (Heliophobius argenteocinereus) byli podrobeni exploračnímu testu v otevřené aréně za účelem objasnit způsob explorace v neznámém prostředí. Získané výsledky byly také porovnány s dalšími podzemními i nadzemními druhy. Díky těmto testům jsme mohli přinést bližší poznatky do problematiky exploračního chování u hlodavců. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The aim of this study was to uncover the exploration behaviour and the process of spatial mapping of the environment in subterranean African mole-rats with different social system. For these, social giant mole-rat (Fukomys mechowii) and solitary silver mole-rat (Heliophobius argenteocinereus) were tested in an open, square arena in order to reveal how they explore unfamiliar surroundings. Their behaviour was also compared to other subterranean and above-ground species. Thanks to this research we could provide further insight into the issue of exploration in rodents. | eng |
