dc.description.abstract | Od doby nalezení spirochét druhů komplexu B. burgdorferi sensu lato byl tento komplex předmětem mnoha studií. Hlavním cílem této práce bylo stanovit prevalenci a rozšíření odlišných druhů v klíšťatech v rekreačních lokalitách Českých Budějovic. Získaná data potvrzují přítomnost infikovaných klíšťat ve všech zkoumaných lokalitách. Naše výsledky představují důležitou informaci o šíření infekcí způsobených borelií v městských oblastech a tím i možné zdravotní riziko pro obyvatele. | cze |

dc.description.abstract-translated | Since its discovery, spirochetes from B. burgdorferi sensu lato complex has been the subject of many epidemiological studies. To determine it's prevalence and the distribution of the different genospecies in ticks in different recreation areas around České Budejovice was the main goal of this study. The obtained data confirmed the presence of infected ticks in all locations under investigation. Our results represent the important information concerning the spreading of Borrelia infection in the city areas and the possible risk for the health of the population. The second part of the project was aimed at the determination of B. miyamotoi DNA in ticks collected in different parts of South Bohemia. This recently described Borrelia species represents the relapsing fever group of spirochetes, attracts the attention of the scientific community due to it proved pathogeneisity to humans. The presented data reveal the presence of B. miyamotoi in two out of 5 checked areas. The prevalence of B. miyamotoi corresponds to the one stated in this part of Europe by previous investigations. This is the first research that involves the investigation of B. miyamotoi species in South Bohemia (Czech Republic). | eng |
