| dc.description.abstract | Cílem této práce je zpracovat historii vstupního procesu Turecka do Evropské Unie, což se samozřejmě neobejde bez stručného historického exkurzu zaměřeného zejména na politický vývoj země ve 20. století. V další části práce pojednáme o zásadních otázkách, které by se mohly jevit jako bariéry případného vstupu. Jedná se zejména o jeho rozlohu, ekonomickou vyspělost, respektive nevyrovnanost jednotlivých regionů Turecka, dále bude diskutována otázka islámského charakteru země, problematika dodržování lidských práv spojená především s kurdskou menšinou a historií arménské "genocidy", v neposlední řadě se budeme zabývat diplomatickými vztahy Turecka s Kyprem. Naší snahou je prozkoumat tyto otázky jak zorným úhlem členských zemí EU, tak z pohledu Turecka samotného. V úvahu vezmeme i názory severoatlantického partnera a zastánce Turecka - USA. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The aim of this work is to compose history of a Turkish entering process to EU. Therefore we need to pay a special attention to the Turkish modern history. In the next part of the work we will come over some of the main topics discussed through the European policy while speaking about the Turkish issue. It is to be especially the country's Islamic character, then human rights'question and last not the least we will consider Turkish economic problems. At the December's summit of EU representative, it was decided to open European gate to Turkey by October 2005. It was also confirmed by the official beginning of the negotiation talks on the 3rd October 2005. It is to say that this process is going to last for years, decades maybe. Meanwhile we can witness revolutionary changes both in EU alone and in Turkish society. The aim of this work is to compose history of a Turkish entering process to EU.
