| dc.description.abstract | Diplomová práce se zabývá Aristotelovou etikou ctností a její renesancí ve dvacátém století. Etika je nejprve definována obecně jako samostatná věda řadící se k vědám praktickým. Následně je kladen důraz na etiku ctností jako na jeden ze směrů normativní etiky. Klíčovou částí práce je část, která pojednává o etice ctností u Aristotela, přičemž výklad víceméně koresponduje s výkladem z díla Etika Nikomachova. Důraz je kladen na pojmy ctnost, blaženost a dobro. Dále je zmíněn vývoj, jaký u etiky ctností proběhl v době po Aristotelovi až do dvacátého století. Poslední část práce pojednává o podobě etiky ctností ve dvacátém století, a to včetně procesu, jakým etika ctností svou dnešní podobu nabyla. Rovněž je porovnán výklad etiky ctností u Aristotela a v dílech moderních morálních filosofů. Zvláštní důraz je kladen na dílo Ztráta Ctnosti od Alasdaira MacIntyra. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | This diploma thesis deals with the Aristotelian virtue ethics and its renaissance in the twentieth century. Ethics is first defined generally as a separate science which belongs to the practical sciences. Subsequently, the emphasis on virtue ethics as one of the directions of normative ethics. A key part of the thesis deals with the ethics of virtue in Aristotle and interpretation corresponding more or less to the interpretation of the work of Nicomachean Ethics. The emphasis is on concepts of virtue, bliss and goodness. The development of u virtue ethics from the time of Aristotle until the twentieth century is also mentioned. The last part deals with the form of virtue ethics in the twentieth century, including the process how the ethics of virtue acquired its present form. It is also compared to the interpretation of virtue ethics in Aristotle and in the works of modern moral philosophers, particularly the work of Alasdair MacIntyre After Virtue is emphasized. | eng |
