| dc.description.abstract | Tato práce se zabývá analýzou prvních přímých voleb do Evropského parlamentu na území České republiky roku 2004. Úvodní část zahrnuje historii vývoje Evropského parlamentu a stručný popis jeho současné podoby. Následuje přiblížení okolností, které vedly ke vzniku přímých voleb, a problémů, jež tyto volby často doprovází. Druhá část práce se věnuje samotné analýze prvních evropských voleb v České republice. Na základě různých teorií je zde vysvětleno, proč se volební výsledky ve volbách do Evropského parlamentu roku 2004 lišily od výsledků voleb do Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu České republiky roku 2002 a proč byla tak nízká volební účast. Práce rovněž nabízí srovnání volebních programů, s nimiž vítězné politické subjekty v evropských volbách na území České republiky kandidovaly. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | This thesis deals with the analysis of the first direct elections to the European Parliament in the Czech Republic in 2004. The introductory part presents the history and development of the European Parliament and a brief description of its current form. It also covers the circumstances leading to the organization of direct polls as well as the difficulties that often accompany the polls. The second part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of the first European elections in the Czech Republic. A number of theories were studied and referred to in order to explain why the European election polls results in 2004 differed from the results of the election to the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament in 2002 and why the turnover was so low. The thesis also compares the election programs asserted by the winning European Parliament political entities running in the Czech elections. | eng |
