| dc.description.abstract | Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem prvního českého gymnasia v Českých Budějovicích v letech 1868 - 1918. Práce vznikla na základě studia odborné literatury a pramenů uložených ve Státním okresním archivu v Českých Budějovicích.
První část se zabývá obecnými dějinami nižšího a středního školství v českých zemích a v jižních Čechách. Druhá část je zaměřena na samotný vývoj gymnasia ve sledovaném období. Důraz je kladen především na výuku a studenty gymnasia. Při analýze studentů byl sledován především jejich teritoriální a sociální původ. Dále bylo zkoumáno jejich náboženské vyznání a délka studia. Závěrečná část se věnuje učitelskému sboru gymnasia. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The diploma thesis is aimed at the development of the first Czech grammar school in České Budějovice during the years 1868 - 1918. It is based on a study of specialized literature and archival resources deposited in the State District Archives České Budějovice.
The first part of the thesis deals with the general history of the primary and secondary education in the Czech lands and the South Bohemia. The second part is focused on the development of the grammar school in the period surveyed. The main target is both teaching and students. The analysis of the students includes not only their territorial and social origin but also their religion and length of studies. The final part of the thesis is concerned with the teachers of the grammar school. | eng |
