| dc.description.abstract | Práce podává základní přehled o konceptu ukazatele lidského rozvoje (HDI) v kontextu myšlenkového vývoje ekonoma a filozofa Amartya Kumar Seny.
První část, teoretická, se zabývá základními podmínkami a okolnostmi, které ke konceptu HDI vedly. Tato část dále pojednává o samotném vzniku HDI, jeho struktuře a výpočtu. Následně jsou popsány některé další indikátory rozvoje. Poslední kapitola této části popisuje problémy rozvoje lidstva na sklonku 20. století spolu s možnými intervencemi směrem k rozvojovým problémům společnosti.
Druhá část, praktická, obsahuje přípravy hodin tak, aby mohly být využity ve výuce společenských věd na gymnaziální úrovni. Zpracované hodiny jsou na téma: Chudoba, Index lidského rozvoje a Rozvojové cíle milenia. Tato část zároveň obsahuje metodická doporučení pro výuku včetně užitečných odkazů a publikací na daná témata.
Součástí přílohy je kapitola věnovaná utilitarismu a dále překlad anglického originálního textu. Důvodem pro zveřejnění je velký význam textu pro vývoj indexu lidského rozvoje a zároveň nedostatek překladů v českém jazyce. Další přílohy jsou určené pro praktickou část, jakožto pracovní listy nutné pro výuku daných témat. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The thesis is focused on the basic overview of the Human Development Index (HDI) in the background of thinking this well-known economist and philosopher Amartya Kumar Sen.
The first theoretical part includes the resources and conditions that led to the Human Development Index. This part is also dealing with the uprise of the HDI including its structure and calculating. The thesis outlines the overview of another possibilities in measurement of development. The problems in the development of humankind are also described with its intervention.
The second practical part includes the preparation of lessons aimed to teaching of social studies at grammar schools. The lesson are aimed to the themes: poverty, Human Development Index, Millenium Development Goals. This part also contains the methodological recommendations, links and publications in teaching of this issue.
The part of the appendix includes the chapter about utilitarianism and translation from original article Development as Capability Expansion. The reason of publication is the necessity towards the HDI and small amount of czech translations from the books of this economist. The appendix also contains individual texts as worksheets for teaching themes mentioned above. | eng |
