| dc.description.abstract | Předkládaná bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice meningokokové meningitidy, ve které se zaměřujeme na sestry i na pacienty, kteří meningokokovou meningitidu prodělali. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat meningokokovou meningitidu z pohledu sestry i pacienta. Pro naplnění cíle nám byly nápomocny následující tři výzkumné otázky a dvě stanovené hypotézy: Jaká pozitiva vnímal pacient při realizaci ošetřovatelské péče? Jaká negativa vnímal pacient při realizaci ošetřovatelské péče? Do jaké míry pacientovi změnila meningokoková meningitida život? Orientace sester v problematice ošetřovatelské péče o pacienta s meningokokovou meningitidou se liší dle délky praxe. Orientace sester v problematice ošetřovatelské péče o pacienta s meningokokovou meningitidou se liší dle vzdělání.
K realizaci výzkumného šetření jsme využili kombinaci kvalitativního a kvantitativního výzkumného šetření. Kvalitativní výzkum byl proveden formou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 5 pacientů, kteří prodělali meningokokovou meningitidu. Kvantitativní výzkumné šetření probíhalo pomocí nestandardizovaných dotazníků, výzkumný vzorek tvořilo 102 sester.
Výsledky kvalitativního výzkumného šetření naznačily, že dotazovaní pacienti vnímali pozitivně přátelský a partnerský přístup sester, efektivní komunikaci a podávání informací a podporu při zvládání bolesti. Sestry pacientům také pomohli překonat strach z lumbální punkce a mnohdy i stud, například při nutnosti vyprazdňování na lůžku nebo provádění hygieny. Jako negativa dotazování pacienti uváděli ve většině případů samotnou hospitalizaci na JIP, kde nejhůře snášeli vyprazdňování na lůžku. Dále si stěžovali na klidový režim po provedení lumbální punkce. Změnu života po prodělání meningokokové meningitidy ve smyslu trvalých následků uvedla jen jedna dotazovaná pacientka, která se potýká s extrémní únavou, s poruchami krátkodobé paměti a občas ji trápí potíže s orientací v prostoru. Získaná data z kvantitativního výzkumu byla zpracována a vyhodnocena statistikem. První hypotéza byla potvrzena, druhou hypotézu nelze potvrdit. Znamená to tedy, že orientace sester v problematice ošetřovatelské péče o pacienta s meningokokovou meningitidou se liší dle délky praxe, ale neliší se dle úrovně vzdělání. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The submitted bachelor thesis pursues meningococcal meningitis subject matter from the viewpoint of both nurses and the patients who suffered from meningococcal meningitis. The main goal of this thesis was to monitor two different point of view a nurse and a patient regarding meningococcal meningitis.
There were three research questions and two hypothesis prescribed to help us accomplish this determined goal as follows.
What the positive the patient sensed during the nursing care implementation? What the negative the patient sensed during the nursing care implementation? How significantly did meningococcal meningitis change the patient life? The nurses´orientation in the subject matter of the nursing care about a patient suffering from meningococcal meningitis depends on the length of their medical practice. The nurses´orientation in the subject matter of the nursing care about a patient suffering from meningococcal meningitis depends on the type of their medical education.
For the research realization we applied the combination of both qualitative and quantitative research. The qualitative research was carried out by the form of the semi-structured dialog. The research sample included five patients who had suffered from meningococcal meningitis. The quantitative research was accomplished on the basis of non-standardized questionnaires applied to the research sample represented by 102 nurses.
The qualitative research results indicate that the respondent patients perceived nurses´partnership attitude, effective communication and pain relieve support positively friendly. The nurses, as well, helped the respondent patiens to confront the lumbar puncture fear and many times even to overcome embarrassment, for example, when needed to empty oneself in bed or make hygiene.
As negative experience most of the respondent patients considered the hospitalization at ICU where worst of all for them was empting in bed. Furthermore, they expressed complaints about the after lumbar puncture rest routine. The permanent health problems as a consequence of meningococcal meningitis were mentioned by only one respondent female patient who is suffering extreme exhaustion, immediate memory disorder and sometimes sense of direction losing.
The obtained quantitative research data were processed and evaluated by a statistician. The former above mentioned hypothesis was confirmed. However, the latter hypothesis was not confirmed. Accordingly, this means that the nurses´orientation in the subject matter of the nursing care about a patient suffering from meningococcal meningitis depends on the length of their medical practice but it does not depend on the type and degree of their medical education | eng |
