| dc.description.abstract | Tato práce se bude zabývat srovnáním různých způsobů televizního vyprávění romantických příběhů v seriálové a filmové podobě. U jednotlivých příběhů bude sledovat narativní znaky typické pro sentimentální literaturu, kterou lze vnímat jako předchůdce a často i dosud živý vliv na tento typ televizní produkce. Zároveň bude analyzovat postupy, díky nimž se tvůrci snaží zvyšovat či alespoň udržovat popularitu romantických filmů a seriálů, jež jsou z hlediska elitní kultury, stejně jako literární brak, odmítané. Kromě specifických podob příběhů se zaměří na jejich postavy, ale také na zvukovou a obrazovou složku jakožto klíčové rozdíly mezi literaturou, seriály (z nichž analyzuje některé mýdlové opery a telenovely ? např. Dallas, Dynastie, Esmeralda, Ošklivka Betty) a na ně časově přímo navazujícími televizními filmy (filmové adaptace románů pro ženy např. od Rosamunde Pilcher, Ingy Lindström, atd.). Na závěr rovněž nabídne zamyšlení nad možným vlivem romantických příběhů na běžný život jejich divaček, ale i na situaci ve společnosti. Tedy ačkoliv se tyto filmy a seriály obecně zdají být prázdné a neobohacující, nelze jim upřít určitý význam, a měly by proto zastávat rovnocennou pozici s ostatními žánry na poli populární kultury. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | This essay will deal with comparing the different ways in narrating romantic stories in serial and film form. The individual stories will follow the narrative features typical for sentimental literature, which can be perceived as a forerunner and often a lively influence on this type of television production. At the same time, it will analyze the procedures by which the filmmakers try to increase or at least maintain the popularity of romantic films and TV series, which are rejected in terms of elite culture as well as trash literature. In addition to the specific forms of stories, they will also focus on their characters, but also on the sound and visual components as they are the key differences between literature, TV series (from which it will analyze some soap operas and telenovelas such as Dallas, Dynasty, Esmeralda, Ugly Betty) television films (film adaptations of women's novels written by Rosamunde Pilcher, Inga Lindström, etc.) that continued directly after. Finally, it will also reflect on the possible influence of these romantic stories on the everyday lives of their viewers as well as on the situation in society. So although romantic movies and TV series generally appear to be hollow and unenriching, their attribution in this area cannot be denied and therefore should hold an equal position with other genres in the field of popular culture. | eng |
