dc.description.abstract-translated | Using microsatellite markers, this study explores infrapopulation structure of Dicyema moschatum within its host Eledone moschata and among two populations from Croatia and Italy. Set of 8 microsatellite markers was selected and respective primers for polymerase chain amplification were designed for population genetics study. Microsatellite markers were analyzed with fragmentation method and results were evaluated in various bioinformatic programmes focused on basic population genetic metrics; these results showed potential to provide additional information about D. moschatum mating systems and how it infects its host. | eng |
