| dc.description.abstract | Stárnutí populace a prodlužování života je stále aktuálnějším tématem nejen ve zdravotnictví a sociálních službách. S tím souvisí i výskyt demence, která se týká nemalé části seniorů. Právě v domovech pro seniory se často můžeme setkat s klienty s různými stupni demence, a proto je dobré zkoušet nové přístupy k těmto klientům, jako je například smyslová aktivizace.
Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak všeobecné sestry v domově pro seniory vnímají metodu smyslové aktivizace a také zda je tato metoda pro seniory vhodná. V souvislosti s těmito cíli byly stanoveny dvě výzkumné otázky a to: Jaký názor mají všeobecné sestry na využívání metody smyslové aktivizace? Jak seniorům pomáhá smyslová aktivizace? Pro zpracování empirické části jsme zvolili kvalitativní formu výzkumu, a to polostrukturovaný rozhovor.
Dle výsledků této práci lze říci, že metoda smyslové aktivizace je pro seniory velmi vhodná, ať už se jedná o fyzickou či psychickou stránku člověka a také seniorům zmírňuje progresi demence, což má samozřejmě přínos i pro ošetřující personál, nejen pro dotyčného seniora. Všeobecné sestry v domově pro seniory tuto metodu vnímají velmi pozitivně. Spokojeny byly jak při absolvování kurzu smyslové aktivizace, kde se o metodě dozvěděly více, ale i při aplikování metody v praxi a při pozorování výsledků u jejich klientů v domově.
Výsledky této práci by mohly sloužit ke zvýšení informovanosti nelékařského personálu v domovech pro seniory v oblasti smyslové aktivizace, nebo např. jako výukový materiál pro studenty oboru všeobecná sestra. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | A population aging and extending life is more and more current topic in medicine and other spheres. This topic is associated with dementia, which concerns a significant part of seniors and in retirement house we meet people with dementia more often. Becuase of this, we should try some new ways to care about seniors with dementia like sensory activation.
This bachelor thesis deals with two aims - What nurses think about this method and if this method is suitable for elders. We determined two research questions based on these aims: 'What nurses think about using sensory activation method?' and 'How sensory activation helps to seniors?' We chose quality research with the form semi-structured interview to get results.
According to results, we can say the sensory activation is very useful. It helps with physical and mental health and it slows down progression of dementia disease. All of these is beneficial not only for the senior but also for the nursing staff. Nurses in retirement house really like this method. They were satisfied not only at workshop of sensory activation where they got much more information about this method, but they learned also how to use it in practice. Now they can observe the results in clients in retirements house too.
The results of this bachelor thesis can be used for the better know-how of sensory activation for nurses and other non-medical workers in retirement house. It can be use like educational material for students of nursing school or other medical schools. | eng |
