dc.description.abstract-translated | Optimization of efficient pigment extraction from thermophilic green non-sulfur photosynthetic bacterium Chloroflexus aurantiacus was achieved. Method for purification of the extracted pigments was optimized using several types of high-performance liquid chromatography columns and gradient and isocratic elution protocols. Purity of the obtained bacteriochlorophyll c was validated in mass spectrometer. Aggregates of purified bacteriochlorophyll c molecules were prepared by conventional methods and imaged in atomic force microscope. | eng |
