| dc.description.abstract | Bakalářská práce se věnuje interpretaci postav nemrtvých neboli zombie v populární kultuře. Zkoumá rysy, s jejichž pomocí je jejich specifičnost konstruována (i ve srovnání s postavami upírů či uměle vytvořených bytostí), a významy, které zombie v konkrétních dílech generují. Sleduje, nakolik a jak odrážejí stav společnosti (ve smyslu cirkulace společenské energie a témat, jež jsou s nimi spojována) a jak se tato metaforika zombie mění v průběhu času. Práce se zaměřuje hlavně na filmovou produkci, ale věnuje se i otázce, jak se tato vyobrazení liší v různých médiích. Základním zdrojem jsou samotná díla populární kultury a hlavní metodou výkladu pak jejich interpretační porovnávání zasazené do kontextu doby jejich vzniku a socio-kulturního nastavení, jež lze v dané době pozorovat. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The bachelor thesis deals with the interpretation of the undead or zombie in popular culture. It examines the features with the help of which their specificity is constructed (even compared to the characters of vampires or artificial beings) and the meanings that zombies generate in specific works. It traces how and how much zombies reflect the state of society (in the sense of the circulation of social energy and related themes) and how do these zombie metaphors change over time. The thesis focuses mainly on film production, but also addresses the question of how these representations differ in different media. The primary sources are the works of popular culture themselves and the main method of interpretation is their interpretative comparison placed in the context of the time the works were created and the socio-cultural setting that can be observed at that time. | eng |
