| dc.description.abstract | Předmětem této bakalářské práce je komparace obrazu starověkého Egypta v díle Georga Eberse a Julia Zeyera. Konkrétně budou analyzovány a srovnávány Ebersovy historické romány Dcera královská (1864) a Uarda (1877) v dobovém překladu Bedřicha Frídy a Zeyerova próza Král Menkera, pocházející ze sbírky Báje Šošany (1880). Sekundárním zdrojem pro danou komparaci bude i Ebersův odborný cestopis Egypt slovem i obrazem (1880). Autorka současně zmapuje recepci Ebersova díla v české literatuře v rozmezí konce 70. a poloviny 80. let 19. století, kdy byla tvorba německého egyptologa a spisovatele silně recipována i překládána do češtiny. Téma práce přispěje k poznání jednoho z dosud nezmapovaných česko-německých literárních kontaktů. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The subject of this bachelor thesis is a comparison of the image of ancient Egypt in the works of Georg Ebers and Julius Zeyer. Specifically, Ebers's historical novels Dcera královská (1864) and Uarda (1877), in a contemporary translation by Bedřich Frída, and Zeyer's prose novel Král Menkera, from the collection Báje Šošany (1880), will be analysed and compared. Ebers's scholarly travelogue Egypt slovem i obrazem (1880) will also be a secondary source for the comparison. At the same time, the author will map the reception of Ebers' work in Czech literature between the late 1870s and the mid-1880s, when the work of the German Egyptologist and writer was strongly received and translated into Czech.
