| dc.description.abstract | Předkládaná bakalářská práce Mezi uměním a politikou. Emil František Burian ve 30. letech 20. století nahlíží na osobnost Emila Františka Buriana jako na levicově orientovaného komentátora meziválečných politických událostí. Práce zasahuje doposud opomíjené Burianovy aktivity. Především jeho činnost publicistickou, která je představena na konkrétních příkladech ze soudobých uměleckých časopisů ? Kulturního večerníku D 34 a Programu D. Pozornost je věnována i Burianově přední úloze v politicky angažované divadelní platformě (divadlo D 34), kterou svými postoji komunisticky smýšlejícího intelektuála zcela zásadně ovlivňoval.
Cílem práce je rovněž dokázat, že Emil František Burian nebyl pouze fenomenálním divadelníkem a významným představitelem prvorepublikového avantgardního umění, ale i důležitou postavou na poli kulturně politického dění. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | Presented Baccalaureate Thesis: Between the Art and the Policy. Emil František Burian in the thirties of the 20th century, considered Emil František Burian a personality of a left-oriented commentator of political events of the time between the world wars. The thesis touches the so-far ignored activities of Burian, especially his journalistic activity presented by concrete examples of the magazines of that time - the culture evening paper D 34 and the Program D. The attention is also paid to Burian´s leading role in the politically engaged theatre platform (Theatre D 34), on which he had a fundamental influence with his attitude of a communistically minded intellectual.
The goal of the thesis is to demonstrate that Emil František Burian was not only a phenomenal playwright, but also an important representative of the avant-garde art of the First Republic, and an important personality of the cultural and political events. | eng |
