| cze |

dc.description.abstract-translated | In the novels Synáček, Neviditelný (Invisible) and Petrolejové lampy (Kerosene Lamps), written by the famed Czech author Jaroslav Havlicek, we will deal with the reception and interpretation of the extreme situations that the characters find themselves in. This phenomenon will be observed in the context of the philosophy of existence, especially with regards to the German philosopher Karl Jaspers as its leading exponent, and further with regards to one of the most influential thinkers of the 20th century, German phenomenological philosopher Martin Heidegger. Further inspiration will be provided by the poetics of Daniela Hodrová and her view of characters connected to a certain place, as well as Gaston Bachelard and his poetics of space. Based on the mentioned aspects, we shall phrase a conclusion on which extreme situations are most often exhibited in Havlíček´s work and how we read them. | eng |
