| dc.description.abstract | Práce se zabývá antropologickou teorií jazykového relativismu, zvanou Sapir - Whorfova hypotéza. Tato teorie tvrdí, že jazyk, kterým mluvíme, ovlivňuje naše myšlení a chápání světa kolem nás (náš světonázor). Práce pojednává o historic-kých předchůdcích této hypotézy, zabývá se charakteristikou hypotézy samé, je-jím empirickým potvrzením a kritikou. Nakonec udává vědecké teorie, které jsou Sapir - Whorfově hypotéze podobné. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | This work is concerned to an anthropological theory of linguistic relativism, that is called Sapir - Whorf hypothesis. This theory sais, that the language we use in-fluences our thought and our understanding of the world around us (our ''worl-dview''). The work deals with the historical antecedents of the hypothesis, focuses at characteristics of the hypothesis itself, at it´s empirical support and scarify it.
