| dc.description.abstract | Práce se zabývá životem a myšlenkami Helen Parkhurstové. Soustředí se především na její pedagogickou kariéru a práci na daltonském plánu. Dále vysvětluje, co to vůbec daltonský plán je, na jakých stojí principech a jak se uplatňuje v praxi. Vedle toho popisuje dobu, ve které Parkhurstová žila, a také to, jak bylo tehdy přistupováno k výuce. V souvislosti s tím srovnává myšlenky daltonského plánu s myšlenkami reformní pedagogiky a alternativních škol. Parkhurstová kladla v tomto ohledu velký důraz na individualizaci výuky a jejím cílem bylo především naučit žáky rozvrhovat si správně svůj čas a samostatně si rozhodovat o svém učení. Práce také sleduje vývoj daltonského plánu v průběhu 20. století až po dnešní dobu. Zaměřuje se na možnosti jeho využití v současném vzdělávacím systému, kde by mohl být užitečný především při práci s informacemi. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The thesis deals with the life and thoughts of Helen Parkhurst. It focuses on her pedagogical career and work on the Dalton Plan. It further explains what the Dalton Plan is, what principles it is based on and how it is implemented in practise. Beside that, it describes the period of time in which Parkhurst lived and what approach to education was taken in those days. Also, the principles of the Dalton Plan are compared with thoughts of the reform education and alternative schools. Parkhurst emphasized the individualiza?tion of education and her main aim was to teach pupils how to organize their time properly and how to decide on their learning independently. The thesis follows the development of the Dalton Plan during the 20th century to the present days. It focuses on the possibilities of using it in our educational system where it could be particularly useful in fostering information literacy. | eng |
