| dc.description.abstract | Tématem práce je pohled na léčebné postupy a medicínské představy středověké léčitelky Hildegardy z Bingenu. Tato žena byla známa již za svého života nejen jako léčitelka, skladatelka, spisovatelka a vizionářka, ale byla také abatyší a zakladatelkou dvou klášterů. Je autorkou množství spisů povahy mystické, náboženské, ale i lékařské, mezi její díla se řadí i hudební skladby. Dochovala se rozsáhlá sbírka její korespondence, která dokládá pravidelný kontakt s mocnými své doby, například s cisterciáckým mnichem Bernardem z Clairvaux, papežem Evženem III. a Alexandrem III., císařem Fridrichem I. Barbarossou, pražským biskupem Danielem a mohučským arcibiskupem Kristiánem Buchem. Cílem mé práce je pokusit se o pochopení pramenů Hildegardiných léčitelských schopností v konfliktu mezi vědomostmi získanými studiem a praxí, a mezi zdroji, pocházejícími z jejích vidění. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The topic of this work is a look at the treatment procedures and medical ideas
of a medieval healer known as Hildegard of Bingen. This woman became well known
even during her lifetime not only as a healer, composer, writer and visionary, but also because she was an abbess and founder of two monasteries. She wrote many works
of mystical, religious and medical nature and among her endeavours there are also
musical compositions. An extensive collection of her correspondence has been preserved, which documents regular exchange of letters with powerful people of her time, for example the cistercian monk Bernard of Clairvaux, popes Eugene III. and Alexander III., emperor Frederick I. Barbarossa, bishop Daniel of Prague and archbishop Kristián Buch of Mainz. The aim of my work is an attempt to understand the sources of Hildegard's healing abilities and explore the assumed conflict of the knowledge acquired through study and practice, and the sources originating in her visions. | eng |
